As many Cinq/Sei owners will know, the weak part of the cable is the 'hook' arrangement at the quadrant end. This has been replaced with a standard 'eye'. The eye is fixed to the quadrant via a 6mm bolt (included). Please ensure your plastic quadrant is in good order prior to cable replacement.
A common reason for cable failure is a worn clutch and or release bearing. Be advised that a reinforced cable is no substitute for a worn and heavy clutch
