Citroën GuideSearching the Citroën DatabaseThere are many ways to search our database. The most simple is clearly to enter a short description of the item. For example by entering "Engine Mount" you will probably be deluged with every engine mounting we hold. Simply try "Engine mount C5 2.0" that should narrow the delivered result to something more manageable. If of course if you are in posession of 'Chassis Plate' details for example try entering "Engine mount RHZ". That should bring up pretty much exactly what you are looking for. On most Citroëns you will normally find your chassis number stamped into the panelwork where arrowed in the pic. Alternatively, latter day vehicles have a small window in the dash through which the chassis number can be viewed from outside of the vehicle. The chassis number is made up of a series of codes plus a serial number. The engine code is recorded in the 6th,7th & 8th digits ( VF7DCRHZB12345678 ) In this case a 2.0 Hdi diesel. making a note of this code will aid identifying any engine related parts considerably. Another code that you may encounter is the RP or ORGA code this is a numeric 4 or 5 digit code that indicates the actual day of manufacture. For earlier vehicles the code was stencilled onto the bodywork under the bonnet (as 6344 in pic. The 4 letter code is the paint colour code). For latter vehicles you will find a sticker attached to the door edge or near the driver's door hinges. This sticker will have various details, but at the bottom is the RP code with the paint code directly above it. Other methods include searching with a Citroën OE part number or just having a random browse through the catagories.
